SB 468, HCA 1 -- STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

SPONSOR:  Bartle (Byrd)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Judiciary by a vote of 18 to 0.

This bill modifies the types of case dispositions that must be
reported to the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System records.

HCA 1 -- Requires the Superintendent of the State Highway Patrol
to submit a report annually to the Governor and General Assembly
on patrol salaries and their comparison to police officer
salaries in the three largest police departments in the state.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the case disposition
modifications just recognize in statute what already takes place
in reality.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Bartle; and Office of State
Courts Administrator.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
